This post, post number 19 of 23, presents a conclusion regarding whether or not Bathsheba was a victim.

Conclusion

No matter how one views the story and its outcome, other than being raped, Bathsheba ended up using the situation to advance her position. Whether Bathsheba started out as trying to advance her husband or actually started the plan for her own advancement, Bathsheba was either a co-conspirator or the prime mover. In either case, she should not be considered a victim.
